15 YouTube Videos that MUST Be a Part of Your School Day

By now, after reading through some of my posts, I’m sure you’ve noticed that I like to include YouTube videos in my school plans. Because the videos are enjoyed by my kids, I wanted to share them with you in hopes that your children will enjoy them too!

We have music as part of our morning time. After singing songs that we already have the lyrics to (and know the tune of the song), we watch some videos and sing along with them. [By the way, after only a few days of this, my toddler is already requesting some of the songs! Yay!]

Jesus Loves Me – Children’s Song (with Lyrics)

He’s Got The Whole World in His Hands | Family Sing Along – Muffin Songs

Pete the Cat | I love My White Shoes *this one is part story and part song but it helps with color recognition and my little guy likes watching Pete the Cat so this gives him something that is just for him in our Morning Time.

Five Little Pumpkins + More | Counting Songs & Nursery Rhymes | Super Simple Songs *Since we are entering fall and getting close to Halloween, I’ve added this to our morning as well. However, it is 70 minutes long! So we just watch a little bit at a time; long enough to listen to one song.

We also include some learning songs in our music time. These 2 the girls have been watching since last year and they are able to recall the order of the presidents as well as a good number of state’s capitals. I highly recommend them, especially the Presidents Rap!

Okay, awhile back we were searching for math songs to help remember multiplication facts and we found this teacher that sings the multiplication tables to the tune of popular songs. We LOVED these videos!!! {In Rosie’s words, “That guy is soo much fun!”.}

*He has a song for the tables all the way up to 9 even though I’m only sharing a few links.*

Three Times Table Song (Cover of Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars)

Four Times Table Song (Blurred Lines Cover) with Classroom Instruments

Six Times Table Song! (Cover of CHEERLEADER by OMI)

Eight Times Table Song (Cover of All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor)

My girls have started doing yoga but especially love doing yoga along with Jaime over at the Cosmic Kids channel. The videos range in length from short (about 11 minutes) to a longer session (about 45 minutes). She tells well known stories, as well as maybe some lesser known stories. My girls have enjoyed all of them. You should definitely add these to your list, too!

Star Wars | A Cosmic Kids Yoga Adventure!

Frozen | A Cosmic Kids Yoga Adventure!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar | A Cosmic Kids Yoga Adventure!

Popcorn the Dolphin | A Cosmic Kids Yoga Adventure!

Twilight The Unicorn of Dreams | A Cosmic Kids Yoga adventure!

There they are in all their glory! Fifteen YouTube videos we watch regularly. I’m trying to include more learning videos that are set to music in our day because I have found that my girls (and now also my little guy) retain the information better when it is set to music. Little Man even starts singing “Presidents, presidents” randomly throughout the day, as well as “Days of the week, days of the week” (set to the tune of ‘Addams Family’)! 🙂

As I find more that work for us, I’ll definitely share with you guys!

Have you guys found some totally awesome YouTube videos? Feel free to comment with any suggestions. I would love to share new videos with my kids!

Have a great weekend y’all!
